Our tastings are conducted "single-blind." That is, the tasters know what wines have been poured, but not the order in which they were poured. The tasters are asked to complete a "score sheet" on which they rank the wines, 1-8, with 1 being the best. The total rank numbers are then summed to determine a group ranking. At most tastings we pour 5-6 bottles of each wine, so some bottle variation is inevitable - this is ignored in the rankings.
