One of Toronto’s oldest non-profit wine tasting clubs offering members unique, affordable, fine wine tastings from our extensive cellar.
Dry White Bordeaux wines are an important and sometimes underappreciated part of Bordeaux’s winemaking tradition. These wines are typically blends dominated by Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. While these wines can be enjoyed young, they really shine after 5 or more years in the cellar. This resting time allows the zesty fruit flavors provided by the Sauvignon Blanc component to settle and the weight of the Sémillon to mature and provide body. The 2015 vintage was great and the wines in your tasting are in their prime and ready to be enjoyed.

Let’s stick with the 20-year-old theme and check in on the Domaine Chanson Burgundy wines in the cellar. Founded in 1750, Domaine Chanson’s long history of making quality wines gained a boost when Bollinger, the famous champagne house, acquired the property in 1999. Your tasting will include wines from Vosne-Romanee, Volnay, Aloxe-Corton, and Beaune.
